R2AC Arts Project Grants
FY09 Deadlines: September 10, 2008 and March 11, 2009.
R2AC Arts Project Grants may be used to help produce an arts event such as:
* putting together an exhibit, a performance or a workshop (see also "No-risk Workshops)
* sponsor a "prepackaged" arts performance or exhibit;
* host an artist-in-residence at a school;
* planning or developmental assistance to an arts organization.In the last three years, our R2AC Arts Grant awards ranged in size from $280 to $3,700. The average size grant was $1,635. Because these are matching grants, an organization may only request up to 50% of the total project cost. The remaining 50% must be made up through a combination of cash and in-kind.
Any organization, club, school, unit of government or community group may apply. If your organization doesn't have a 501(c)3 status, its easy to apply through a fiscal agent.
These grants are only available to non-profit organizations, community groups, schools and units of government that are in Region 2. The five-county Region 2 area includes Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods and Mahnomen counties.
